ABOUT
Andrea and Seth are studio potters in Floyd, Virginia where they share a split studio - Andrea works in porcelain and Seth in stoneware. They also share a daughter, 2 dogs, and 7 chickens. Andrea first came to Floyd in 2011 to work as an apprentice for potter Silvie Granatelli and Seth joined her in 2013 after spending almost 3 years as an apprentice for potter Mark Hewitt in Pittsboro, NC. They met on a trip to China when they were both working towards their BFA degrees - Andrea at West Virginia University and Seth at Syracuse University.
Andrea and Seth create pots for daily use that they hope will bring joy and a sense of connection to your home. If you find yourself in Floyd we invite you to stop by our on-site gallery at Poor Farm Pottery - a few miles from the Blue Ridge Parkway and about 10 minutes from downtown Floyd.
